‘Board Meeting’ was inspired from a friends drone image of the ocean. The lovely grains in this piece of plywood made me apply my paints lightly keeping them transparent to give the illusion of being able to see the ripples in the sand through the crystal clear water. I haven’t surfed in a long time so when I gaze at this painting it makes me feel like I’m right there having a chat to other like-minded surfers. This would make the perfect gift for a surfer – especially if they work in an office – and would suit a beach house or boho decor.
