resin workshop for beginners

September 26, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Always wanted to know how resin artwork is created? Learn how with resin artist and illustrator Mandy Dollery, and create your own piece!

This is a fun and interactive class with all materials supplied. You don’t have to be able to draw for this class, anyone can have a great time mixing colours and pouring resin! The Pop Up Gallery is a great space to learn, practice and experiment, while meeting like-minded people.

You will be given a 50cm resin board to create your resin piece on, plus there will be other sizes available to purchase should you wish to do a second one!

Collection of your artwork will be the following week, after the resin has cured and the hook is attached to the back for you to hang in your own home. The workshop will focus on developing skills, applying techniques and equipment you need to make your own. It is so much fun and addictive that you’ll want to do more!

This workshop is appropriate for both total beginners and those with some experience. The workshop will start with a demonstration allowing you to become familiar with the unique properties of resin and different effects that can be created. You’ll then be guided through at creating your own, and assistance given when needed.

Covid 19 measures: Max number will be 6 participants for this workshop (max number allowed in the Pop Up Gallery is 10). Social distancing rules will be adhered to. Hand sanitiser is mandatory on arrival. Please refrain from coming if you have any symptoms that may in any way be related to Covid 19. BYO your own mask. If we are unable to proceed with the workshop due to Covid 19 Health regulations, then we will be rescheduling the event to a future date for ticket holders. Thank you for your patience.
